Terenten is located on a sunny highland plateau in South Tyrol, at 1210 m above sea level and with a beautiful view of the Dolomite mountain peaks in the Southeast and the Sarntaler mountain range in the West. The view conveys an indescribable feeling of freedom and peace. Old farms are scattered along the mountain side up to an elevation of 1500 m and provide scenic variety. In Terenten you will find unspoiled nature, the climatic values are very favorable. Terenten is located at the beginning of the Puster valley and is the ideal starting point for exploring the unequaled South Tyrolean mountains, winter and summer alike.



The sunny village Terenten offers a great variety of well taken care of hiking pathsn, in the Tiefrastenhütte area (2.312 m) mountaineers and hikers will find many exiting routes. The mill trail, the fairy chimneys and the biotope "Pirchner Moos" offer appealing reasons for relaxed hiking excursions. Close by you will find a multitude of sports and leisure time activities: Horseback riding, tennis, volley ball, mini golf, mountain biking, a beautiful leisure park with playground and Kneipp facility.



During the summer, you can relax on the play and tanning meadow surrounding the guest house. Furthermore, the Tourismusverein Terenten (tourism bureau) offers sport and cultural activities or excursions year round. And you can be sure to find plenty of diversions during winter, too. The possibilities are almost unlimited, because winter turns the sunny village into a snow village. The Gitschberg Jochtal ski area is just around the corner. Those who still want to practice or spend a stress-free family ski day can do so at the Panorama lift directly in Terenten. You can also have fun on the slopes at Kronplatz, one of the most modern skiing resorts in South Tyrol. As a matter of course, a free ski shuttle runs between Terenten and the ski lifts on a regular basis. The shuttle stop is within walking distance (5 minutes) from Haus Wieseneck.

Within the immediate vicinity you will discover cross-country runs and toboggan runs. A feast for eyes and taste buds are the annual Christkidl markets in the cities of South Tyrol, for example in Bruneck or Brixen.
